I remember the first time we reached out for a realtor to start a small rental business and get our facts together for being successful. endeavor The first couple realtors we visited did not gain our confidence that we would have a successful relationship in building our company. Then by luck Janet Lane's name came to us as we just started a new look at realtors to work with on the business. The first meeting was to define our intentions for purchases and where we wanted to go with the rental business. This is where we gained our confidence in Janet. She came prepared for a several hours of discussion on the right and wrong way to go about establishing the business and making financially worth the investment. She showed 20-30 properties explaining the positive and negative so we had an understanding of how to proceed. Janet then spent time with us on the investment (banking) portion so we could establish a path for procurement. This included the right bank, the right loans, how much to invest. etc.. Over the next several months the company started taking shape very slowly. Janet would locate units and scope them out prior to taking us to see. In this manner she was able to eliminate units that would not fit our business plan and save us the time looking / evaluating. Over the next couple years Janet was able to find enough units for us to procure that made a successful small business. Over time years we were always able to reach out to Janet for advise and recommendations even if we were not looking to purchase another property. Then as COVID hit and other factors impacted our future plans, Janet was there to assist with the sales. At one point when we were down to just a few units she provided a recommendation of maintenance person who could be contacted by project only to save money and stress. So when we lost our maintenance person it did not impact our service to the tenants. Because of outstanding job Janet did we used her to sell our personal homes and purchase land for building a new home. To this day we keep in contact with Janet as a friend we acquired through many years of transactions. We have come to trust Janet with our homes, business, and children's homes. When it comes to Real Estate, there is not a more trustworthy, patient, and competent realtor that I could have encountered. And today after many years of doing business we still call Janet one of our best friends. Thank you Janet Lane for all the advise, direction as a realtor, business and banking mentor.
