I have over 28 years of Consultative Selling experience. In life, I would say I have been my own biggest critic and I challenge myself not to take shortcuts and instead do something the right way all the time. My motto: Don't mistake shortcuts in life for efficiency; there are no shortcuts in life. I realized early on that no matter what it is that I'm doing I need to try my best to fill that role to the best of my ability. In team sports for example: I knew others were relying on me and I knew I could not let them down. When I played goalie I didn't allow the other team to score; when I played striker I averaged 2.9 goals per game the whole season. I wanted to give my team every advantage that I could so that together we got that win every time we played. When I taught English overseas in China in a brand new role I gave it my all and didn't look at it as just another job. I took it seriously and made sure I wasn't just going through the motions for a paycheck. I wanted the kids to really learn and to get all they could get from my classes. It was this drive that propelled me from being a brand new teacher out of about 40 in the organization to being one of the top three teachers in less than two years.
