Personal Profile
Originally from Ellettsville, Indiana, and with an honors degree from Indiana University Bloomington, Cortney started as an elementary school teacher. For many years, she found self-fulfillment by helping her students learn and grow. Cortney has always known the key to success lies within education. In 2020, Cortney made a career change and entered the real estate business. Clearly during a global pandemic was a unique time to begin a career in real estate, but Cortney's infectious upbeat attitude and nurturing personality, along with her commitment to learning, made the transition an easy one. Cortney imparts knowledge with patience and empathy, and in a way her clients can absorb and understand - a true gift that was aided by years in the classroom. With attention to detail, Cortney is laser-focused on ensuring her clients feel like they are taken care of from start to finish. She understands that their home is one of the biggest decisions and investments they will make. You can often find Cortney and her Hoosier-fan-family, which includes Cortney's three kids, Brody 15, Zane 13, and Maggie 11 (and a yorkie-pom named Winnie) at tons of sporting events including everything IU! They love to go to baseball games, including her son's travel team, riding bikes on the B Line, and going camping. As you can tell, Cortney is all about family. It's no surprise that her favorite part of being a real estate agent is the opportunity to feel like a part of her clients' families. "I truly feel honored that I get to have these personal and memorable experiences with my clients. I love the friendship that is formed."

Seller reviewCortney was great to work with. She was able to have a open house every time we needed or wanted one.
-
Buyer reviewI initially contacted Cortney to discuss an entirely unrelated property. During the course of that conversation, I expressed some interest in building on a particular empty lot in my neighborhood. The lot, unfortunately, was not for sale. Within 24 hours, she was able to contact the owner and open a dialogue. Our first offer was accepted without countering. Most remarkably, the total elapsed time from start to finish was less than 2 weeks. In that short time, Cortney demonstrated exceptional professionalism, market knowledge, and a genuine commitment to ensuring a smooth and successful transaction. I would recommend Cortney to my friends and family without hesitation.

Buyer reviewShe found what we were looking for and guided us through the whole process. We are very happy!
-
Seller reviewGot taken care of like a baby through the entire process that I don't think I realized I sold my house. So glad I picked Cortney's call up even I thought it was another fraud call! Totally wishing I had more houses to sale at this point so I can keep having her as my broker!

Buyer reviewCortney Walcott was able to show us a range of housing options and able to hone in on what our preferences were. She did this so well that we actually bought the property virtually, having seen it on a FaceTime tour after we had returned home to Michigan. When we did step foot in the property after closing, it was as described by Cortney on the virtual tour.

Seller reviewWe knew Courtney from a previous attempt to sell our house where we had changed our mind. She is very personable and had the knowledge and go getter attitude we needed! I'm a high stress home buyer and she truly did her best to put me at ease. I would use her again in a heartbeat! Please send her here to Florida because we miss her!
