For the sale of our Ewa Beach, Hawaii home, it was recommended we contact Dean Matsui of Century 21 Island Homes. We are so glad we did. Dean Matsui and Danelle Miyamoto were the perfect choice for us. They went above and beyond what we have experienced in the past with regard to real estate agents. As we had already moved to our new home in Tennessee, Dean and Danelle handled everything needed in Hawaii. They were always available to answer questions and provide the guidance we needed to navigate the complex process of selling our home. When the Buyer's agent had questions, Dean and Danelle were always just a phone call or text away to assist in properly responding. We dealt with the 6-hour time difference between Hawaii and Tennessee seamlessly. I actually received a few texts and calls during what was morning in Tennessee which was before sunrise in Hawaii. Dean and Danelle coordinated all repairs needed to the home along with the proper inspections that were required. This resulted in a very smooth stressless process for us. We cannot espouse enough the benefit of using Dean and Danelle as your agent. "You will not find better." By the way, due mostly to the excellent work by Dean and Danelle we received $16,000 over our initial asking price.

Dean's character is why we chose him. We trusted him. We have many friends and relatives who are agents/brokers. Because buying a home requires us to share personal financial and private family matters, we wanted someone who would not judge us and would keep that private. We also knew that he would go above and beyond as he always does for his clients. Besides that, he's very smart, hard-working, detail oriented, and easily accessible. Accessibility was very important to us in this highly competitive market. We owe him so much more than high marks on a survey. He really did go above and beyond his duty to help us get our home. This was an extremely tough time for anyone to buy a home in Hawaii. We were using our VA Loan to purchase, and their demands were difficult to meet in this seller's market because homes were being sold in terrible condition. We were also getting outbid by many competitors. In addition to all of that, we had our own personal issues that were constantly changing our needs. Dean dealt with all of that and was so calm and understanding. If it weren't for him, we would have been "priced out of paradise" and would have lost a chance to ever become homeowners. Dean really is amazing. We can't thank him enough.
