I began my real estate business after a successful career in the automotive industry, and I have the benefit of both a technical background and management/leadership experience that I now put to work for my clients. I've lived in SE Michigan all of my life, and I'm familiar with the entire metro Detroit and Ann Arbor areas. As a licensed Realtor, I have been trained in the Mike Ferry Sales System, and my professional designations include Accredited Buyer Representative, Certified Negotiation Specialist, Certified Distressed Property Expert, and Cartus/Affinity Relocation Specialist. I belong to the National Association of Realtors, The Michigan Association of Realtors, and have been a Major Investor to RPAC. My formal education includes a degree in mechanical engineering from UM - Ann Arbor, as well as a number of management disciplines obtained in my former business career. I've had the pleasure of being married to my wonderful wife Cheryl since 1973, and we have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. My other interests include flying sailplanes as a private pilot, hiking, backpacking, cooking, model building, and photography.

Buyer reviewJim was an excellent realtor. He was very patient and personable, very easy to work with. He answered all our questions and was very flexible with meetup times for showings. It was just about as good as any realtor/buyer transaction could go. I would be happy to use him again or recommend him to friends and family. Overall experience was great. This was the first time I have relocated for an employer. Early in the process I learned not all services like this appreciate working for Cartus or being apart of a corporate covered relocation. I never got that feeling from Century 21 or Jim himself. I appreciate the services I received and appreciate this was something I didn't have to worry about during this transition for me.
