Seller reviewI knew Joan as an acquaintance prior to hiring her, and a mutual friend recommended her as thorough and knowledgeable. Joan was fantastic. She had great ideas and explained all her reasons. She gave us excellent advice on preparing our house for sale, and dealing with tenants, and it worked! She was available, attentive, helpful, funny, and just all around wonderful. We loved working with her. Nothing to improve. Joan was terrific. A friend of mine went to the open house as a "spy" and told me she thought Joan was terrific at the open house - friendly and attentive and knowledgeable with prospective buyers.

Joan Carmichael went above and beyond to help me during the entire process, including conducting personalized research to find a place that met my very specific needs, making recommendation for another loan officer and an alternative insurance agency when I had encountered difficulties with the initial loan officer and the initial insurance provider I selected. I was very impressed with her knowledge of the market, accessibility, and her flexibility. She was able to accommodate to my very busy schedule and work with me primarily on the weekends and late evenings. She gave me great recommendations and tips during the negotiations process and helped me secure my dream place in a seller's market. I would highly recommend Joan Carmichael to anyone who is looking for a place in the DC area.

My fiance had not met her before our house search, but he appreciated all those things about her immediately as well, & he told me so after the first time all 3 of us met. We knew Joan was gracious, detail-oriented, & professional in dealing w/ us, & in the process of buying a home w/ her, we got to see how much other people (sellers' agents, inspectors, lenders) appreciated those things about her as well, & that she is in fact known for them. It made a difference in all aspects of our house search, & we are very grateful. I cannot praise Joan's work enough. I would definitely work w/ her again, & I would recommend her highly to any friends/family who are looking for a home in the area.
