John Baker gets an A plus as providing excellent real estate advice and service throughout my business relationship with him. He even took me out to lunch after the final closing! John Baker went above and beyond my expectations of a real estate agent and provided excellent service resulting the successful sale of my home. I would hire him again in a heartbeat and recommend him to others looking for good real estate service. As a veteran I appreciated his special knowledge of my VA loan and the assumability of my VA loan to prospective buyers. That was a key factor in closing the final offer, who happened to be a veteran. John also showed special sensitivity to my needs as a retired clergyman and future housing needs after the sale. He was flexible, always available and prompt in answering my questions. When we hit a couple of snags in the market and the final negotiations he was resilient in finding new solutions and went with me to the HUD certified housing counselor at SNAP to clarify some sales details. He was a good listener, when I got frustrated with the process and went the "extra mile" in helping me prepare the property for sale. He educated me about the importance of creating interest with prospective buyers and "move in" features we could offer prospective buyers to make the property more attractive for sale. In short, I would hire John Baker again for a prospective house buy or sell in the Spokane area and would highly recommend him as an honest , reliable and competent realtor to others interested in buying or selling homes in Spokane.

We had an unusual situation in which my brother was unable to be involved in the sale of his house, so I had to work together with my dad to sell the house by POA. John had helped my dad out in the past, and my dad was so impressed that we both agreed we wanted to have him help with this sale. I live on the other side of the state, so John knew going in that this could be challenging. He was so helpful, kind, and understanding throughout the whole process. Not to mention he got a price for the house that I wasn't initially expecting. There was whole lot of extra coordination needed and a good number of things that needed to be fixed on the house. John was there for us the whole time and his communication was always on point. I am very impressed and thankful by John's willingness to help at a time we really needed it. It was a pleasure working with John. I never got the feeling that he wanted to rush through the process, and he never forgot the human element of the sale. We had some great conversations over the phone and he empathized very kindly with our difficult situation. I just can't say enough about what a good job he did. I think I've already said most of what I wanted to say, but I just want to reiterate how thankful I am for John's help and how much he went over and above to make this sale go smoothly and painlessly for us. We got a great price for the house and I never had to question whether or not he was doing the best possible job for us.
