I originally met Jonas Courey back in 2021 when he acted as my buyer's agent for a property in Edgewood, NM. I'm a big car guy, and I was looking for a lot of garage space, and the property was a perfect fit for me. The market was very hot at that point, and the house was listed for only three days with all offers due at noon on the third day. There ended up being 11 offers for the house, and with Jonas' guidance, I made an offer that was ultimately accepted ($340K). It was a little scary going over asking price, but ultimately it turned out well when I sold the house again two years later. After the sale, Jonas stayed in touch, sending periodic emails to check in on me and keep me appraised of property value trends in my area. He also invited me to a couple of events and even sent me a coupon for a free holiday pie! After about two years in the house, I decided to put it back on the market and move back to Denver. Originally, Jonas and I had discussed listing the house for around $405K, but after a few strong sales in the area, we raised our target to $425K, and then when we signed the contract we decided to aim high and list it for $449K, which was really re-setting the market for that area. The last time I sold a house, back in 2015, I had a very poor experience, which has led me to generally distrust real estate agents. Jonas and I had an open and honest conversation about how he was going to market the house, and at what point he would advocate cutting the price and by how much. This left me feeling confident that I wouldn't get taken advantage of this time around. After about two weeks on the market, we received a full price offer. The buyers were motivated to move quickly, and the house closed just a little over a month after the initial listing. Their requests for repairs were reasonable, and Jonas took care of finding a contractor and getting the work done before closing. During the days leading up to closing, Jonas went above and beyond by heading out to the house to meet a shipping company that was picking up one of my cars. Bottom line, it has been a night-and-day difference working with Jonas. He has exceeded my every expectation as both a buyer's and a seller's agent, and I am thrilled that he was able to get me a full price offer so quickly. I would not hesitate to enthusiastically recommend Jonas to anyone looking to purchase a home in the East Mountains.
