Meet Lauree Watkins - Your Neighborhood Realtor As a Georgia native raised in Savannah, I came to the Atlanta area in 1990 upon graduation from the University of Georgia. With a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing with a Sales Concentration, I was very fortunate to have worked both in inside and outside sales for various business forms companies; most recently as a contract employee at Coca-Cola USA within the forms management department. I have extensive knowledge in all facets of customer relations including negotiations, marketing, and communications and am very excited to bring that expertise to my real estate business! Happily married to my husband Trace for almost 25 years, we have 2 beautiful daughters. I have been a resident of South Forsyth County since 1993 and have seen the many changes and growth to this area over the last 21+ years! People dont believe me when I say I moved here when McGinnis Ferry and Old Atlanta Road was a 2 way stop sign…but its true! I strongly believe in the importance of taking time out of our busy lives to help others - especially kids! I am a Girl Scout Leader and Volunteer and have been one for the last 12 years helping young girls be the voice they need to be in todays world! I also enjoy volunteering at my church, St. Columbas Episcopal, and working with the youth program there. When not selling real estate, you can find me playing tennis out of the Olde Atlanta Club neighborhood and rummaging through estate sales looking for the perfect find! I specialize in the sale of new (my husband is a Residential General Contractor - a great source of knowledge to me!) and existing homes in the Northeast Corridor of Atlanta focusing primarily in the Forsyth, North Fulton, and Gwinett areas. I am very passionate about serving others and look forward to starting each day meeting new people and finding ways to help them reach their real estate goals!     My husband and I give Lauree a five star rating (out of five)! After going through to sale of our home, we are so glad we picked her! We did not know Lauree prior our interview of her; but from the beginning, her knowledge of real estate and warm personality impressed us. We found out that she is more than just a realtor! We called her our "project manager." When we were out of town, she stepped into the void and watched over our house. She was always asking what she could do for us! She is so professional, yet personable. She really knows the real estate market in our area and took the time to explain everything to us. We never, ever felt pressured by her. We were very comfortable working with her and would recommend her highly to anyone selling - or buying- a home.

    My house had been for sale for over 8 months, and there was very little traffic coming through. Laurie provided a sales/marketing plan based on her knowledge of the neighborhood, and her experience selling homes in the area. She provided specific ideas to spruce up the house and expand the curb appeal. We did not drop the price - but made small investments to make the house more competitive with other houses in the neighborhood. Most importantly, she almost took on the role of general contractor to get the work done. She recommended service providers that did excellent work for a fair price - and used her relationships to get the work done quickly so we could get the house back on the market. Immediately, we started seeing a stream of interested buyers coming through the house. She held an open house to show off the improvements we had made in the interior of the house. She was actively engaged with each realtor who brought a prospective client through the home - soliciting feedback and suggestions to make the home more marketable. When a buyer emerged, Laurie demonstrated her best skill - working with the buyer and the buyer's realtor to resolve issues and reach a deal. She did a great job negotiating for us and kept the price within a few thousand dollars of the asking price. She also guided the buyer through the home inspection process, and made sure that minor issues didn't impact the sale of the home. Great job Laurie - we couldn't have sold that house without you.
