Born and raised in New Jersey, Marie graduated with a BA in Economics and Business from Rutgers University. She went on to have a successful career in Sales and Business Development, working her way up to Vice President of a high-tech security firm. Marie and her family settled in Northern Virginia in 1997. Having moved 10 times during her husband's 20-year military career, Marie knows first-hand about the importance of a professional approach to the home buying and selling process. She is a certified Military Relocation Professional. Marie brings a level of enthusiasm and creativity to real estate. Finding a home for you or helping you sell your existing home is what she is passionate about. Additionally, Marie loves to assist the local community and has served as Board Member of several charitable organizations. She grew up in a large family, so having six children of her own is a dream come true. Marie, her husband Tom, and their younger children live in Franklin Farm, where they enjoy gathering around the kitchen table with friends and family. Marie was recommended by my Aunt, and fellow Century 21 real estate agent, Kathi Amphrazis. I trust my Aunt's advice on all things real estate related and told her I was looking for a trust-worthy agent in the Alexandria, VA area. Marie Buonforte was the name given to me. It was evident form the onset that I could implicitly trust Marie's input and expertise. The ability to rely on her judgement and honest opinion was paramount for me since I couldn't personally vet properties. Marie Buonforte handled all aspects of the purchase due to the fact that being active duty military located in San Diego,CA under Covid-19 travel restrictions I could not be present for the selection, bidding and closing process. She was prompt with contact, forthright and straightforward, and willing to consider numerous properties.

Marie totally understood my needs and took care of all the details. Every recommendation she made was correct. She even had a stager come in to help show the house to the best advantage. We put the house on the market during the Covid 19 pandemic. I was reluctant to list for fear of having no buyers. She reduced my fears and was completely correct. We had 2 great offers (over asking) in 3 days. Even after we had the signed contract she took care of every detail. This was a completely stress-free experience.

Marie Buonforte worked diligently to sell our home. She came into a townhouse that had been on the market for 12 weeks and hadn't sold. Her market analysis was very comprehensive and helped us to better understand our market and the competition we were up against. She didn't sugar coat the reality of it, but she insisted that we could still get a fair price with a strong marketing program. She spelled out her program and it was far superior to any marketing we had experienced in the passed. (We have been transferred a number of times and as a result have bought and sold a number of homes over the years.) I would recommend Marie Buonforte to anyone that wants to sell their home. She will design an effective marketing strategy, put in the hours to get it sold, and has the backing of other Realtors in her company for expert advice when needed.

Marie absolutely represented all that we would expect from a senior real estate professional. She knew every last aspect of her job, and she was continually coming up with ways to better connect with prospective buyers. I again can't emphasize enough how much we enjoyed working with Marie. She was tireless and ALWAYS there to help us with any detail of the process of marketing and the final stages of closing on our property. Marie's skills with marketing are equally matched by her network of folks in the trades to help with repairs, inspections, and making sure any aspect of closing requirements are met and resolved to everyone's satisfaction. Marie made a difficult and complex process go as smoothly as possible. We had great communication and I felt we worked as a partnership in dealing with all questions and issues.
