As a Native Washingtonian and a resident of Northern Virginia since 1978, I was first licensed to sell Real Estate in 1984. I combine my unique experience in the fields of banking, lending, new home sales, and residential real estate to provide my purchasers and sellers with up to date knowledge and advice. My business philosophy is to meet or exceed my clients' expectations by providing the best personalized service with the highest of ethical standards. My primary goal is to build lasting, long-term relationships with my clients.While building my real estate clientele, I pursued a successful management career in commercial loan operations, achieving an Assistant Vice President position with First Virginia Bank (now BB&T). After leaving my career in banking, I joined a nationally renowned builder as a new home sales agent. Later, in 2000, I teamed with a small real estate company to offer boutique residential sales services. In January 2003, I joined another brokerage where I assisted buyers and sellers in the Northern Virginia area.I am pleased to be a part of C21Redwood Realty now.

Mary Ellen was a great resource and incredibly helpful. As first-time homebuyers, we had no idea where to start, and she made finding and buying a home so easy for us. Mary Ellen was a blessing. She was very patient and knowledgeable about the area, housing code (for example, we saw several houses that advertised a "bedroom" that wasn't a legal bedroom), resale value, and updates that a house might need. Mary Ellen was very professional and on top of all the details related to the contract and contingencies. We really enjoyed working with Mary Ellen and think very highly of her. We'd highly recommend her and would definitely hire her again if we buy or sell in the future.

Mary Ellen Rubenstein is an agent with a "can do" attitude who was readily available and always found a way to make things happen without any hesitation. She was calm, efficient and friendly, always taking the time to give us feedback after every showing and was quick to follow up at all times. There was nothing left undone. Her professionalism went a long way in assuring us through every step of the process of selling our home!
