My father had recommended Shawn Hansen to me as he works as a mortgage officer. Shawn contacted me and I talked to him about my needs. Very shortly after that, a property came up for sale that met most of the criteria I was looking for. We went to the open house and I immediately felt that this would be a great home for me. Shawn then helped me over the weekend as we put an offer in. He was not pushey at all and did not make me feel in anyway that I was being pressured. I know this can commonly happen with some real estate agents. After the offer was put in, Shawn kept me updated on the process the entire way. The seller actually lived far away but I still feel like I was not waiting very long at all due to quick responses from Shawn. Once my offer was accepted, Shawn then helped me find a man to do my home inspection who was very nice and knowledgeable. Shawn met me there with him and took pictures of the problem areas to present later to the sellers agent. The seller agreed to fix all the problem areas due to Shawn's persistence as he knew I was stretching my financial means already in this purchase and I really could not afford to spend more money. Luckily, everything was taken care of and Shawn even helped me repair the bedroom window on his time and dollar since he knew I loved the property but I was at my maximum budget. I cannot say that many real estate agents would do this, and it just illustrates Shawn's kindness and caring nature towards his clients. I would certainly recommend Shawn to anyone I know that is purchasing a property. He is very thorough, has any excellent attention to detail, and is aware of his clients needs. He is also a great communicator and kept in touch with my daily regarding the purchase, sale and any repairs that were going on with the property. Overall, I had a great experience with him and if I ever upgrade to a larger home, I will be in contact with Shawn for sure!
