Gini Pelton grew up on an Historic Family Farm in Hubbardston in Ionia County. The Oldest of 10 she learned from her parents on how to be involved in your community by Volunteering. Graduating from Aquinas College and then she started to move across the state with her husband. Gini has an interesting work history. Ran an FBO at Ionia Airport, Accountant for a Law Firm, ran an H&R Tax office, worked for Social Security, 1st female Car Salesperson in Michigan, and Owned a Retail Store in South Haven. Gini moved to Manistee in the Summer of 1992. Gini, Caitlin, and Conor followed Scott who came to open the Oaks Correctional Facility in February 1992. Gini became involved in the community immediately using past experiences to Co-Chair the building of Lighthouse Park. Scott and Gini were coaches with MRA for 18 seasons, starting a travel middle school soccer program, and coaching t-ball, baseball, and football while Conor was young. Gini started working as a Housing Specialist with Michigan State Housing in 1993 and has been involved in Housing in the region since then. Currently, Gini works for CENTURY21 Northland which she joined in 2012. She has earned Top Agent level every year with CENTURY21. She has served on the Mason Oceana Manistee Board of REALTORS® as Vice-President and President. Gini loves her adopted community of Manistee and is actively involved in all facets of the community. Due to her involvement has earned the following 2011 Manistee Elks Outstanding Service Award, 2012 Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce Action Award, 2013 Mainstreet/ DDA Volunteer of the Year, 2015 Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce Businessperson of the Year, and 2016 Jaycees Community Action Award. Currently, she serves as an ambassador and on the Government Affairs committee with the Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce, Board Member Ramsdell Regional Center for the Arts, Board member of the Munson Manistee Hospital Foundation, Commissioner on the Manistee Housing Commission and member of the Manistee Lakeside Club. Gini is known for her passion for travel with her husband Scott, and her love of her family and family gatherings. Also her promotion of #ManisteethePlacetoBe through live video and Social Media. As a dedicated real estate professional, Gini has been honored to have received several distinguished accolades, including the CENTURION® Award, CENTURION® Honor Society membership, and the Masters Diamond Award, among other awards. These recognitions reflect her commitment to excellence and the trust her clients have placed in her. In addition to these honors, Gini holds specialized designations as a Commercial Specialist and a Fine Homes and Estates Specialist.
