We first met Gina through other mutual friends, and had interacted with her outside of searching for a house. We knew Gina is a person of integrity, and we felt we could completely trust her -- and that was critical to us. We never felt like she was pushing us in one direction or another, or trying to "sell" us a house, and we always felt she had our best interests and our financial situation at heart. We weren't quick to decide on a house either -- we worked with Gina over a period of 3+ years -- and Gina never made us feel pressured or rushed. We were just waiting for the right house to come along -- one that worked for us, met our financial needs and our fundamental criteria. She was always willing to organize visits to houses we were more curious about -- and give us honest feedback about what the realities of owning that house might be. For that honesty, we are grateful -- and again, the fact that we trusted Gina meant her advice always carried a lot of weight. She never took advantage of that trust -- and as newbies to the house-buying process, Gina was extremely generous with her time and knowledge. We also credit Gina with encouraging us to push for a lower starting offer ... Being wholly foreign to the house-buying process, and not particularly good at the price-negotiation aspect of business dealings, we really appreciated Gina's advice, and her time negotiating the original purchase price down to where we were hoping it would end up.
