We had to sell our house through short sale. We tried a realtor who was recommended by a friend and felt like we were working for her. Not what we expected. When the sale fell through we decided to use someone local. Friends told us about Mary so we talked with her and immediately felt at ease. She did her research and marketed the house. Within 2 days we had a firm offer. Short sales take time to close and Mary kept us informed the whole time. She actually got us more money for the house! Would totally recommend her.

In our opinion, Mary Hicks is the best realtor in central MA. She has sold two properties for the Rieben family in 2.5 years. Both listings, a $250,000 property in North Brookfield and a $120,000 property in East Brookfield, had offers within two months and both were sold in four months. The listings were nicely worded with all the pertinent information and the pictures were many, showcasing the amenities and potentials of the homes. Mary Hicks went beyond the call of duty for this recent sale as the seller Wesley was in VA. She coordinated meetings with a number of subcontractors that had to go to the house to assess repairs and get them done. We appreciate that she did that as we were not there. I had previously used two other agencies for the other home in North Brookfield and neither could get it done. I was watching properties being sold in the area and it was Mary Hicks, Mary Hicks! So glad I tried her; she was sensitive to my stress level, helping me to relax and work on other things. She is a lovely person also. Amazing!
