As a Native Washingtonian and a resident of Northern Virginia since 1978, I was first licensed to sell Real Estate in 1984. I combine my unique experience in the fields of banking, lending, new home sales, and residential real estate to provide my purchasers and sellers with up to date knowledge and advice. My business philosophy is to meet or exceed my clients' expectations by providing the best personalized service with the highest of ethical standards. My primary goal is to build lasting, long-term relationships with my clients.While building my real estate clientele, I pursued a successful management career in commercial loan operations, achieving an Assistant Vice President position with First Virginia Bank (now BB&T). After leaving my career in banking, I joined a nationally renowned builder as a new home sales agent. Later, in 2000, I teamed with a small real estate company to offer boutique residential sales services. In January 2003, I joined another brokerage where I assisted buyers and sellers in the Northern Virginia area.I am pleased to be a part of C21Redwood Realty now.

Seller reviewWhen you've lived in a house for 36 years and brought up three children in it, whose the agent you want by your side, when the perfect family comes along who wants their children to grow up in this perfect house, Mary Ellen Rubenstein. She's there for you to answer all questions, guide you through the process, and support your emotions. She's just a text away no matter what the time. I can't say enough good things about her. Oh and let's not forget the great recommendations she gives you for movers and people to help move you! Leaving after 36 years is hard but Mary Ellen has made the process easy!

Mary Ellen is polite and kind, she is responsive and responds to emails/ texts/ phone calls quickly, she knows her stuff and delivers the information you need to know in ways that make you feel respected and appreciated.
