With this purchase I need an broker that had an agent that understood the specifics of the area I was interested in purchasing a vacation home. I did several web searches trying to understand who was best suited for this area. I came across Tom Thiessen and found out he actually lived in the area I was looking to buy. I sent him and several others an email. He responded quickly and we set up a meeting. He was super knowledgeable in the Chain of lakes I was interested. He also knew many of the property owners, the history and he knew the ins and outs of zoning, etc. I knew I had found the agent I was looking for! We could not have asked for a better agent than Tom Thiessen for this purchase. He aced every portion of the process. I don't trust people easily, however I felt like Tom had my back from the minute we met, and helped us find what we wanted, and his knowledge gave us the confidence we needed to make the best decision. Very easy to work with!! Tom's knowledge of the local area is fantastic. And his background in construction and zoning was especially nice to have for our many questions regarding our purchase. Very smooth transaction in all aspects, almost as simple as a "Handshake agreement" Excellent all around Very nice being treated like friends and members of the community from the moment we first spoke.

We saw Tom's signs on property near our cabin and felt that he would already by familiar with the area and would therefore be able to promote our lake and our cabin. Tom was able to get For Sale signs up before the critical 4th of July weekend despite our signing a contract with Century 21 only days before that. His extra effort produced an offer to purchase within a week! We were pleasantly surprised receiving an offer so quickly after seeing other properties lingering for months and even years. Tom's background in surveying and zoning made his expertise invaluable. We were traveling at the time of the offer and Tom's patience in contacting us and keeping us informed was really appreciated. He went well beyond the call of duty working weekends to make the property attractive and to quickly satisfy requests from the buyers. We relied on Tom's knowledge of the real estate situation in the northwoods as well as on his background as surveyor and felt every piece of advice he gave us was spot-on. What could have been a nerve-wracking situation with our traveling during much of the negotiations, turned into a pleasant experience due to Tom's efforts. Overall, we were thrilled working with Tom and benefiting from his experience. It was way beyond our expectations that the sale went through so quickly and easily.

Tom and the title company did an excellent job at closing with a problem that came up at the last minute. I believe without them we may not have closed.

I approached Century 21 and specifically Tom to help me find a home in Manitowish Waters and also sell my other home in Park Falls. Tom handle the sale of my home perfectly. He was invaluable in helping get a FEMA flood plain inclusion remedied and our lot removed from the flood plain notice. Knows the area very well and the in and outs of living in the north woods including contact with local surveyors, contractors, zoning....
