Honest, patient, prompt, knowledgeable and kind. Since we have owned our own business for 43 years we can read people very well. Derek is the real deal, always concerned about what is right for us. We first met Derek in 2018 when we were looking for a condo in the North Myrtle Beach area. He went way out of his way to make sure we bought the right condo for us even though it was not the most expensive one that he showed us. When we were home in Pa and saw a place we might like he went to the condo and skyped with us. We bought that condo and since last fall have been looking for a house. We aren't the easiest buyers but Derek was only professional and polite when we would not have blamed him for losing his patience. Derek's goal is always to find you the right place for you and he manages the seller's agent with the same patience and knowledge that he shows us, always doing what is best for us.

He is always prompt and curtious. He answers calls, txt, emails almost immediately. He is willing to assist in any way that he can. He will find out the answers to any and every question. He is meticulious. Very detailed in the photographs of the listing. Very motivating description of the property. I listed the home at the beginning of the corona-virus outbreak. I was expecting a long-haul during these difficult times. Derek had a contract on my home in 5 hours and a closing in 7 days! Service just doesn't get any better! I initially spoke with Derek regarding a property I had found online, and he was very knowledgeable of the property and the area, and was able to advise of potential pitfalls and legal issues with the property. Following that initial discussion, with Derek's help, I was able to find a number of other properties in the area meeting my criteria, and he arranged for prompt showings and obtained detailed information for me to make a good decision for me, offering insight on the area and rentals. When I found the property I was looking for, he walked me through the offer process, and took care of everything, while also giving good advice and advocating and negotiating to ensure the best deal. Throughout the escrow process he made all the necessary arrangements for inspections and vendors, coordinated with my lender and attorneys and the seller, all while keeping me informed, getting my input, and periodically checking in to make sure everything was going well and to see if I had any questions. I really appreciated Derek's help and input, and willingness to go the extra mile throughout the process. I'm not sure what I would have done without him. He is always willing to go above and beyond. He responds quickly, he is willing to show me any and every home that I would like to see. He responds to ant questions, concerns, issues, with a timely and quick response. He has shown me many homes (50+) over a 2 year period. He always makes time for me even when it is peak seasons. He also is willing to go to homes in both SC and NC. He stopped by about 2 weeks after the sale to see how my progress was coming. He also offered his assistance if I needed help with anything.
