I am an Horry County native and a full-time Realtor® with CENTURY 21 Thomas. Growing up on a farm in Green Sea, South Carolina and an alumnus of Coastal Carolina University, I take pride in my strong work ethic and honesty. These qualities have enabled me to build many long-lasting relationships. On a personal note, I am a volunteer at the Grand Strand Miracle League and am active in my church. I am an avid outdoorsman and enjoy fishing and hunting. Most of all, I enjoy spending time on our beautiful beach. My goal as a real estate agent is to help both buyers and sellers by making each real estate transaction as smooth and simple for them as possible. We contacted Century 21 Thomas related to a property we were interested in and Derek answered the call. When we identified the property he made us aware of some litigation that was going on with the property and advised us against pursuing that property but offered to assist in looking at other properties. Derek was the ultimate professional every step of the way. We had never dealt with a realtor before and couldn't imagine having a better experience.

When we decided it was time to downsize, Derek helped us sell our house and purchase a condo. He was extremely knowledgeable in both aspects of selling and buying. One of the things we appreciated most was his approach. He was never pushy and patiently answered all of our questions. When it came time to negotiate offers, he worked hard to get us the best price for our house and then negotiate a good deal on the condo we ultimately purchased. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a hard working, down to earth agent!
