Yumi Kim is truly a first class agent. We had a wonderful experience using Yumi and her expertise in our home purchase. She's reliable, professional, is knowledgeable about the real estate industry and she really stand out from the rest. Yumi was highly recommended by my two cousins, whom one of them had purchased a home through Yumi's assistance and another was tagging along for the experience. Yumi was very informative from the get-go. Scheduling in person meetings to walk me through the home purchasing process and then understanding my needs (price points, move-in-readiness, location, house-type, etc.). During a few rounds of negotiation, I was impressed with Yumi's ability to prioritize her customer's needs first. On the first occasion, after knowing my budget, she was carefully inquiring questions provoking my considerations so I did not go all out in up-ping my price point in the first "best offer", in the end the final counteroffer came back just right at my highest price point. This would have been even higher had i started my first "best offer" at my highest point. It was a competitive house/process. On the second round of negotiation, seller was against crediting the full total repairs cost anticipated on the house and was willing to walk away, after multiple rounds of negotiation, we still got a decent credit without losing the deal, which was great. Just an overall pleasant vibe exuberating from her throughout the process. Even after the home purchase, Yumi would still check in on me on the overall move-in process and asked if I needed any help/advice. I would highly recommend Yumi to my friends and family who would be looking to purchase home in the neighborhoods of her expertise.

For starters, we would not be homeowners right now if Yumi hadn't found us a program that ended up essentially giving us $25k for free! As exciting as that was, I had no idea that buying our first home was going to be such a roller coaster.. and Yumi was helpful to us every step of the way. While she was patient with helping us figure out what we wanted and needed, she was also firm in managing our expectations so that we didn't expend too much energy unnecessarily. She new how to ask the right questions, and managed the timeline of things we needed to get done very well to minimize complications.. and when things got complicated, I always knew that she was working on it and doing whatever needed to be done to get it done. Yumi did a remarkable job with this sale. After meeting her, I returned home to Maine. Therefore, the majority of our dealings were conducted through phone conversations, texts, and emails. I've never sold a home before; much less across the country, while acting as the trustee for my uncle's trust. She was very helpful in walking me through the multitude of forms involved, setting up electronic signing, and making sure I understood the whole process. She continually kept me informed as the sale progressed. Additionally, she was kind and understanding when we hit a few setbacks that became overwhelming for me. We hit a few snags with the first buyer, including asbestos in the popcorn ceiling and waiting for three other sales to go through. It was very obvious that the buyer's agent was not as organized and informative in working with her buyers as Yumi was with me.
