Chip is very personable and has a great work ethic. He was always available by phone while looking at several houses and took our busy work schedules in to consideration when looking as well. Chip consistently kept us updated on what was going on from Day 1 of making an offer until we officially closed. We sought out his advice frequently throughout the process, which was very helpful in decision making and getting a better deal in the end. There were several issues that came back on the inspection and appraisal, which he handled very professionally and we were able to get everything we needed before closing! We are very appreciative that he listened to our needs, and was able to get the house functioning before moving in. A basic need, but the seller made it difficult. I would definitely recommend Chip to family/friends if they are in need of a realtor in the future!

I decided I needed a beach home around April 2018. Things had drastically changed in my life. I mentioned it to Chip Ruff. A few weeks later (it wasn't sooner as he knew I had a busy few weeks) he had a couple places he thought I might like. Before I even looked I said I have a few things that are "musts". It must be on topsail island. North topsail but the southern end of north topsail. I also said I wanted a "B" lot so that I have some protection from storms. I wanted a B lot with it's own private access to the beach. It needed to have 5 bedrooms. And of course it had to be pretty!! I wanted open and full of light. A lot of things happened between April and when I had time to look at homes again. I was out of town until November. He narrowed down HIS list to match my "musts". And there were 2 left. I looked at both online, and I only wanted to look at 1 in person. We came to the home. After looking through the home we sat in the common area....for what ended up being nearly 2 HOURS!! He never rushed us to leave. When we left, my friend and I realized how long we had been there. Then I realized I was at peace....a feeling I had not had in months, actually it was the best feeling I'd had in a full year!! I called chip and said to put in an offer. With a little back and forth I was able to close on my beautiful "saltwater therapy" January 2019!! If you are looking for a realtor you can't find one more vested in his Clients.
