As a lifelong Virginian, Greg has lived in Old Town Alexandria for the last 35 years. It was during these many years that Greg developed his love and knowledge of the DC Metropolitan area. He has always been very active in Alexandria serving as a Deacon in his church, the Old Presbyterian Meeting House, and over the years he served as a Commissioner for the City and became the Vice Chair of the Arlington - Alexandria Workforce Investment Board (WIB). After years of community service, he was recognized for his contributions by the City of Alexandria. His love for Old Town, led to his involvement and support of the new waterfront development. He was asked to speak at the public hearings and his Op-ed was published in support for the changes to modernize the waterfront with the highly successful Robinson Landing waterfront homes adding the largest pier and promenade in Old Town. In 1986, Greg was hired and relocated here to become the first Architect and Design specialist for Milliken and Company - the world's largest privately held textile conglomerate and a winner of the prestigious Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award. After 12 years of great success, winning the highest honors and accolades awarded Milliken associates, he decided to return to graduate school where he studied Human Behavior and received his Master's degree in Organization Development, at American University in DC. He graduated in 2003 and was soon honored for his research and practicum which was published in 2 international academic journals. He practiced OD independently for 10 years working with the largest government agencies, as well as large and small private sector companies. In 2013 he was drawn back to his love of design as he was invited to join a successful real estate team to bring his design skills and his experience working with highly educated level of clients to this profession. He has a discerning eye and talent for guiding homeowners how and what updates would be most effective for the greatest return. The results speak for themselves as his listings typically sell in days and often well over asking price. With his team of vetted and highly qualified contractors Greg removes the stress that overwhelms sellers and makes this process fun and a pleasure while seeing their home beautifully transform.     Greg, We just wanted to say thank you for all your help and guidance through the process of buying our first home! We definitely hit some lows and highs while searching for something that would work for us - losing out on one we thought was "it" and then stumbling upon the perfect house. And then the process of winning that house was quite the story in itself - contingencies, escalations, time deadlines, and trains to Philadelphia!     We thoroughly enjoyed working with Greg. We were new to the area and were also dealing with the stress of buying from another state (Hawai'i). Greg was always available to answer our questions, despite the time differences, and he even blocked off an entire week to show us houses when we traveled to the National Capitol Region. We traveled all over Falls Church, Alexandria, and Arlington looking for our new home. It was tiresome but Greg's relentlessness shined. He was incredibly efficient with the schedule and our precious time. He also gave us fantastic tours of the local area. Unfortunately, we didn't find a home we loved during our week in northern Virginia, but it didn't stop Greg. After our trip we went on multiple "Face Time" house tours... Greg in Virginia and 'Team Boss' in Hawai'i. We discovered our dream home and Greg expertly guided us towards a competitive offer, which was accepted within 24 hours. We are incredibly thankful we found Greg and would recommend him to any/all of our friends and family. His integrity, grit, and knowledge are a fantastic resource for anyone in need of a real estate professional.

    I met Greg through a business associate that highly recommended him for various unique real estate services that he provides. I was moving out of my home of 37 years and it required a lot of time and updating for today's market. But first I wanted Greg to represent me in buying in a 55+ community that I had wanted to live since I had read about it. It is the Crest by Wegman's in Alexandria. I asked Greg to research how I could buy there, which meant it would need to be built and I was buying from my impression of the model. As it turned out very quickly, I bought the first home to be built and Greg worked with me the entire 8-month period of construction. Greg not only met with the Developer and I every meeting but Greg helped me select all the finishes in the house as this is another skill set of his, he loves the design aspect and was quite good at helping me make decisions. I am in the home now and truly love it. But while this was going on Greg was helping me get ready to sell my long-loved home. This took just about the same time frame of 8-10 months and it was a huge undertaking with 37 years of belongings in a large home. Greg has many very resources that were invaluable. One in particular, who helped remove truckloads of items I wanted to declutter; he came more than 4 times over the process as I did this in stages. In the interim, Greg wisely suggested that we gut all the baths as buyers like NEW and the house to be what he coined "barefoot ready". He selected all the finishes, products and materials, even all the paint colors. The results were stunning and made a huge difference in the appearance and updating my home. I had begun to remodel the Kitchen a few years ago but Greg recommended additional updates, creating more of a peninsula, introducing a new Granite to compliment mine, recessed lighting, new pull hardware, etc. The results were also stunning. Along the way he brought in his Landscaper to help us prepare the exterior which was my love with this house, and a furniture painter as Greg was helping me update what to keep and not keep for my new Home. He even helped me buy new furniture and is still helping me well beyond the 2 home settlements. I don't know how I could have done all of this without Greg's sage advice not to mention almost a year of his time, he was always there as needed. All the while we laughed all the way and he helped keep my wits and sanity about this huge endeavor. He also introduced me to many of his clients and took me to his other Listings as he was helping them in a similar way. I could not recommend Greg any higher than with as much praise as I have tried to share with this recommendation. You will love working with him, he makes this arduous undertaking a fun process. We've become quite good friends.

    Greg had assisted us with buying our house (our first house!) a couple of years prior and had kept in touch with us over the time we had owned it. He is a genuinely nice person and often showed his thoughtfulness; he would always call me on Mother's Day, he would text to see how our son was doing, and he even brought us a pecan pie around Thanksgiving. He knew the most about us and the house so it was an easy decision to call him to help us sell it. At the time we were planning to sell, I was 9 months pregnant with our second baby (and chasing a toddler around) so I needed all the help I could get. Greg helped to make sure it was staged properly (and decluttered from one little boy's toys!) for photos and was often texting/calling/stopping by to see how he could help. The photographs turned out beautifully and he planned an open house the first weekend it was on the market. Everything worked out in our favor because the house sold (for above asking!) in only 4 days after we listed it! Thanks Greg!
